Using the service
By creating an account or using Forever Legacy, you agree to these Terms of Service. You are responsible for keeping your account information accurate and for protecting access to your account.
What Forever Legacy provides
Forever Legacy helps members create family trees, member profiles, capsules, reminders, invitations, comments, support tickets, discovery settings, and related family-memory records. Features may change as the service improves, and some features may require an active premium subscription.
Your content
You keep ownership of the text, photos, videos, audio recordings, drawings, and other content you add. You give Forever Legacy permission to host, store, process, display, transmit, and back up that content as needed to operate the app and show it to you and the people you choose to share with.
Do not upload content unless you have the rights and permissions needed to use it in Forever Legacy.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Forever Legacy to upload unlawful, abusive, deceptive, infringing, exploitative, or harmful content, or to violate someone else's privacy or intellectual property rights. You are responsible for invitation messages, family information, and media you share with collaborators.
Forever Legacy has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Content that breaks these rules is removed, and accounts that post it may be suspended or removed.
Safety reports and moderation
If you see a profile, capsule, or comment that may violate these terms, use the Report action in the app and choose the closest reason. You can also block a member so that neither of you sees the other's profile or comments. We review reports promptly and may remove content, limit access, or suspend accounts when needed to protect members or comply with law.
Subscriptions and billing
When premium features are offered, they are sold as in-app purchases through the app store you downloaded Forever Legacy from. That store manages payment processing, cancellations, and refund requests for those purchases. Forever Legacy may rely on subscription status to enable or limit premium features.
Account deletion
You may delete your account in the app from Settings > My Profile > Delete account, or request deletion on the hosted Delete account page. In-app deletion is immediate and permanent. It removes your account profile and app data from active Forever Legacy records, including owned family trees, member records, capsules, notifications, support tickets, favorites, and collaboration access records.
Service availability
Forever Legacy is provided as software for preserving and sharing family memories. We work to keep it available and reliable, but we do not promise that every feature will always be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every device. Keep your own copies of important family records and media.
Account standing
Access to accounts, content, billing, or collaboration features may be limited, suspended, or removed when required to protect members, operate the service, enforce these terms, or comply with legal obligations.
Limitations
To the extent allowed by law, Forever Legacy is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, memories, content, profits, or goodwill arising from use of the service.
